ENVIRONMENT
We try to avoid any kind of carbon production during our activities. If there’s no way for us to avoid it, we try to at least drastically reduce it. And if again there is no way for us to reduce, we will substitute our carbon footprint in the world.
What does that mean? Every year, we collect all of our activities and ask ourselves how to avoid or to reduce them. And then we try to quantify the rest of our carbon production to substitute it. Some examples: We host all our data and sites on green servers. We are working in a paperless office.
We try to buy used stuff before buying anything new. We stop buying animal products from milk to soap, we buy vegan. All our energy comes from green electricity. We changed our candy bar to a regional fruit plate. And over 51 small and large activities to protect our environment. So we could reduce our carbon footprint by about 40%. Yet still we do produce around 4 tons of CO2 per year per person. So we still have lots of work to do to avoid and reduce our footprint and rucksack every day.
